In particular, this book addresses the 1997 Version 2, Release 2 software by which the Teradata Database deftly adopts ANSI-standard SQL, while still retaining its popular traditional values.

By loading the "Classics" database (distributed as a BTEQ script) on a pre-existing Teradata system, the reader will be able to reproduce and experiment with the more than 200 examples and practical exercises referenced throughout the book.

About the Author
Brian Marshall spent more than 10 years with the Teradata Corporation and NCR with responsibilities for the design, production and delivery of Teradata technical education to customers. As a consultant/instructor he has authored a number of books on the Teradata Database, and has worked closely with Teradata customers, world-wide.
