Y2K Book of Resource Lists is a 50 page handbook listing 148 suppliers, manufacturers, books, videos and websites to help you begin your preparation for the possibilty of Y2K interruptions. This book was specifically designed to take into consideration the nature of today's busy lifestyle. Our goal, was to make researching and preparing unintimidating and realistic, even at the end of a busy day.

This handbook is not about whether Y2K computer problems will happen or to what degree, we've left that up to the experts, their publications, videos and websites are listed in the information section of this book. It's not a how-to-handbook, it's a where-to-get-it and get-familiar-with-what-you'll-need handbook.

It's about being prepared, being in a state of readiness for any potential disaster, Y2K, earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, anything that cuts us off from the vital services we rely on. We didn't want to constantly "reinvent the wheel", so we didn't reprint complete and important information again and again in the book. Instead we simply point you to that publication, video, website or supplier that can help you locate your supplies or answer your questions. We know you're busy and preparation adds one more thing to the list, this book was designed with you in mind.

Use this book to help you begin the thinking process and become familar with the supplies you may need for Y2K, whether you buy them locally or from the suppliers listed. This handbook is true to the name of the publisher, Practical Preparedness. It's concise and easy to use. It has a spiral binding so it will lay flat while you're using it, and there's lots of room for notes so you can keep track of your research. Everything is listed alphabetically, companies that offer several products are listed in each appropriate catagory and the index will help you see how many different products each company has to offer.

No one knows whether Y2K will happen or not, or to what degree. We know that being prepared is all that any of us can do.
