(Microsoft's Control Creation Edition was the first version of Visual Basic 5.0 to appear and is still freely available from www.microsoft.com.) The book provides an overview of ActiveX control architecture and gives the reader several basic projects that modify existing controls. It then goes on to cover fairly advanced ground, including property page creation, DLL encapsulation, data-bound controls, control distribution, and code signing. ActiveX control creation is not for beginners and neither is this book. However, if you're serious about learning, it can teach you a lot.
