This book covers what Visual Basic developers need to know in order to combine Visual Basic with Microsoft Internet Information Server. Visual Basic is the most popular programming language in the world today, and Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) is one of the most popular products for delivering Web content. The question many developers are asking is: how is it possible to successfully and efficiently combine these two technologies? Veteran author Budi Kurniawan teaches VB developers how to leverage their existing skills to do just that. Kurniawan provides a thorough treatment of Webclasses and performance issues while teaching developers how to build a successful VB based IIs application from start to finish. - Covers two key Microsoft technologies: Visual Basic and Microsoft Internet Information Server - Shows developers how to leverage existing skills to develop real Web-based applications without over-simplifying that development process - Provides important information on performance and scalability issues with real code examples
