About the Author
Edward J. Renehan, Jr. is married to Christa Renehan. They have two children: William James Renehan (born 1987) and Katherine Eleanor Renehan (born 1991). Renehan is the author of many books-some related to American history, others related to technology, the Internet, and finance. In the 1970s, Renehan worked as a musician and recorded with Pete Seeger for Folkways Records. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, a nonprofit effort in environmental education.

Beginning in 1980, Renehan worked in publishing in New York City for fourteen years (holding positions at John Wiley & Sons, St. Martin's Press, Macmillan Publishing, and K-III/Newbridge) before moving to Rhode Island in 1994. At Macmillan Book Clubs (later named Newbridge Communications, a subsidiary of K-III Holdings), Renehan served as Director of Computer Publishing Programs and in that capacity oversaw the launch of Newbridge's Web site: http://www.booksonline.com Renehan's books and CD-ROMs have been published by Crown/Random House, Springer-Verlag, Chelsea Green, Jamsa Press, and (soon) HarperCollins.
